Being Active

March 1, 2017

Lately, I've been trying my best to be more active in my quest to lose a few pounds. It was hard to get started, I made the usual New Year's resolution to start the year of right, needless so say, It didn't happen. Here's it is now March, the weather is getting warmer and I finally got the motivation to at least get out and take a walk. I started to walk in a local park but I decided to go walk around our popular Falls Park in Downtown Greenville. There's lots of scenery and people which helps keep the walk from being boring. That was important to me, not being bored while trying to achieve a goal. For my first walk, I walked a little over 3 miles. The walk itself was fast paced and steady and very enjoyable. I didn't know nothing about the distance I walked, so I downloaded an app to keep track of everything. Day two was just as enjoyable, I walked 3 miles and again I enjoyed it, that will keep me doing it. If you're having a hard time getting started on your way to being active. You'll be surprised just how much a simple walk can do the trick and be more enjoyable than you realize. Pick a place you know you would enjoy walking, whether it's your neighborhood, park or wherever. Walk for at least 20-30 mins. and try to work your way up to an hour walk a day. You will be suprised at how quickly you'll notice the results. I'm glad I finally did.

Just Get Out... Get Active.
